Review of Bicentennial Man (1999) by Jim F — 12 Oct 2012
I know this isn't such an old movie, but I do think it could do with a rehash. It's a fantastic emotional, sentimental and thought provoking movie still, but I do think back then they made a few wrong choices.
The main one being the quite obvious robot suit that Robin Williams wears to star as BiCentennial Man. It makes the Robot look too big. And that doesn't help with it being modeled on Robin Williams anyway, as he is quite a stocky and chunky man in the 1st place.
With this being based on An Asimov book, and applies the same laws of robotics as that features in I Robot (another Asimov book), this movie should have adopted that more sleeker mold instead of what we got in this.
