Review of Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) by Akash S — 21 Jan 2008
A comic thriller is perhaps the best way to describe it, they clearly had to use comedy to sell this otherwise it would not sell at all.. much better tehn I expected, and more creepy tehn scary.. akshay kumar is on coffee sweetened by red bull.
. you see the typical priyadarshan style, but not quite.. there isnt the standard chase at the end where every character is after another.. but they do come together for the ending.. the focus of the film changes in the middle to akshay kumar, which didnt quite make sense until the end.
. the whole vidya balan thing was a bit predictable, and she doesnt really do anything other then stupid stuff until the end.. amisha patel, no comments, shiney, a bit overacting at times.. rajpal yadav was very random.
. paresh rawal and the badri guy were amazing, the badri guy stood out and his performance was good.. it was a bit different, but sometings were priyadarshan... what was the point of all those door handle shots, did some door handle company sponser the movie?? good concept and good comedy, the flow was good, but at the end of the day, its a priyadarshan film.
..
