Review of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970) by Aaron K — 30 Aug 2007
Excellent screwball movie based on every campy element of 60s drama...taken to the extreme, complete with reality-based (not fairy-tale) elements of plot. Great movie when you want to see something with meaning and camp that pushes the limits of acceptability (though the violence is so unrealistic as to be humorous).
Great film , perfect for late-night viewing with the "bouncing," quick cuts, and screwball ending.
