Review of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970) by Shane D — 19 Mar 2009
Rodger Ebert has no right to criticize anyone's movie after writing this piece of shit. I've tried to watch it for the camp value, but it's too bad. The ending was bizarre, I'll give it that, but it wasn't nearly enough to make up for the rest of it.
I'm a fan of bad movies, but this movie lacked all the essentials like the charm of Ed Wood, the splatter of H.G. Lewis, or the sleaze of The Curious Dr. Humpp. The fact that Russ Meyer had anything to do with this is just more upsetting.
What was he thinking?
