Review of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970) by Sebastian T — 24 Mar 2009
A clever and satricial paradoy of The Valley of the Dolls. I was amazed to learn that Roger Ebert co-wrote the script. The overly articulate dialogue done by the character "Z-Man" will blow your mind, as well as some of the psychedlic, uber 70's, uber sexual antics that go on.
You're not going to get a smooth transitioning film out of this one, nor persuasive acting (except for Z-man...that character is a standout in all of cinema), it is also rather dated. But this movie is fun, funny, and provides entertainment of the outrageous variety-a cult classic which I highly recommend for cult classic moviegoers.
.and go-goers..I'll stop.
