Review of Beyond the Sea (2004) by Lynn C — 22 Jul 2005
As a fan of both Kevin Spacey and Bobby Darin, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. The musical arrangements were terrific, and Kevin's singing ability is quite good. You will enjoy this film when you realize it is *based* on Darin's life, and is not to be thought of as a detailed character study.
It is truly a tribute to Darin the performer, and the dance numbers really give you the feeling of being in another era. Hopefully, this film will allow a new generation to explore Bobby Darin the entertainer.
