Review of Beyond Loch Ness (2008) by Adrian A — 09 Nov 2008
A much over-rated movie, this. The creature is supposed to be a surviving Pleisiosaur, but the designers obviously weren't told this and created something that looks like a cross between an alligator and the Creature From The Black Lagoon.
The creature's eggs are far too large (no doubt the very reason why it's in such a bad mood . . . laying them must have been a very traumatic experience)! For me the whole thing was simply not credible.
From a technical point of view, the writing isn't as bad as the creativity of the visual effects and the actors did a good job with the material. The Cinematography however is uninspiring and the score is dated.
