Review of Bewitched (2012) by Tracey H — 20 Dec 2011
Wasn't a fan of the original TV series or anything, but I think it's easy to deduce that Nora Ephron and the producers were just looking to appeal to nostalgic audience. If that wasn't their tactic, I have no clue what they were doing because this was one linear plot.
The cookie-cutter personas were sloppily set out and the scenes were as typical they come as a result. The performances themselves were okay, but the limited depth potential in the character design limited any opportunity for authenticity in the interactions between the cast.
The script was plain with some pretty unimpressive dialogue. Pretty cheesy flick overall, I was only slightly amused and half of that amusement came from Steve Carrell's cameo.
