Review of Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) by Andrew F — 18 Feb 2008
Tony Scott comes in and Tony Scotts up another action movie. It's got that same sort of hazy 80's action gloss that he put on Top Gun, which gets really bland and overbaked after a while. At least this was before his ridiculous Avid fart phase, so you can follow along the action and plot.
It's got its funny moments and quite a shootout at the end, but it's pretty generic and sort of mean-spirited compared to the first one.
