Review of Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) by Jack C — 04 Jun 2008

This is a big stupid eighties film. Big hair, big guns and big money. Unbelievably, Axel Foley finds himself back in Beverly Hills and once again he's embroiled in a big high risk case. This time around Tony Scott's behind the camera and the action zips along with great style.

Compensating the (again) formulaic plot with some great action scenes, Scott does a great job of telling the story. Murphy is once again on fine funny form with great support from the rest of the cast which all leads to "Beverly Hills Cop II" being a whole barrel of fun.

Yes it's cheesy, it's silly but it's also pretty entertaining.
