2: Eddie Murphy's laugh is seriously annoying. The main thing I noticed about the film was how vulgar it was though; I wouldn't expect a picture like this to be made today with so much swearing.

There would probably be cruder jokes and far more violence, but they'd likely shoot for a PG-13 rating. It seemed pretty unoriginal and tired to me, but I suppose it's possible this was one of the first films like this (I'm not that familiar with the sub-genre).

It is reasonably entertaining, but there's nothing impressive about it other than Murphy's charisma (it is present, even if his character is pretty ridiculous and annoying).
