One of the best action comedies ever made. It's all Eddie Murphy from the get go. Brazen, cocky, and funny , he deilvers as Detroit detective Axel Foley off to Beverly Hills to solve his friend's murder. There is actually more comedy than action in this movie, but you won't mind. You get to see Murphy when he was young and on the cusp of becoming a major star. Still holds up pretty good too.
Axel: "Gimme the keys! I'm gonna follow them!".
Jenny: "Have you ever driven a Mercedes before?".
Axel: "No, but a car is a car! I drive my car every day!".
Jenny: "I'm driving. I've seen your car.".
Axel: "Oh shit, that's cold.".
