Review of Beverly Hills Cop (1984) by Kyle L — 30 Mar 2014

Beverly Hills Cop is one of the most famous movies in the 1980's and it is also the best buddy cop comedy film ever made. This movie is about a young wisecracking cop name Axel Foley who goes to Beverly Hills to solve the murder of his close friend and as he explores Beverly Hills he also starts to learn the different culture and rules of Beverly Hills.

What else can I say about this movie because I totally love this movie and I seriously had so much fun watching it. I actually watched Beverly Hills Cop III before I saw this one back in my elementary years but when I watched the original today I totally love this movie a bit more over part III.

Seriously this is one of the best comedy films I've ever watched and the best movie ever made. One of the great things about Beverly Hills Cop is that the whole film has a lot of fantastic humor and the whole movie has a lot of hilarious scenes that made me laugh hard a lot while watching the film(The opening scene with Eddie Murphy pretending to be a dealer, Axel getting thrown out of the window and the Banana in the tailpipe of Taggart and Rosewood's car which is one of the funniest scenes in the whole movie)and I seriously couldn't stop laughing at some of the most hilarious moments in the film and I so love it a lot.

The other things I like about Beverly Hills Cop is that the film also has a lot of fantastic characters like the hilarious Axel Foley, The believable John Taggart and Billy Rosewood and of course the fantastic Lieutenant Bogomil and the impressive Jenny Summers(played by the super gorgeous Lisa Eilbacher)and I so love the characters in the movie a lot and all characters were so fun to watch in the film at the same time.

The other great things about Beverly Hills Cop is that the movie also has an awesome and super cool soundtrack composed by the great Harold Faltermeyer and I love the songs in the movie a lot and each song in the film is really catchy and very fun to listen to and I love the Axel F theme song of the film which is used in all three Beverly Hills Cop films.

And I love the songs in the film a lot which is so 80's. But the true main highlight of the movie is the performances of the casts who deliver a lot of believable and magnificent plus amazing performances.

Ronny Cox delivers a very cool performance as Lieutenant Bogomil, John Ashton delivers a very neat performance as John Taggart while Judge Reinhold delivers an awesome and yet hilarious performance as Billy Rosewood(Check out the scene where he tells the two guys to drop their weapons and put their hands in the air super funny scene)and of course Lisa Eilbacher delivers a magnificent performance as Axel Foley's childhood friend Jenny Summers and I so love her in this movie she looks so gorgeous, pretty, cute, very beautiful and stunning as well but out of all the casts Eddie Murphy is the best out of all the casts.

His performance is outstanding and very funny as the wisecracking cop Axel Foley in which he is also the true main highlight of the film and I love all of his expressions that made me laugh a lot in the film even his performance is super funny and his dialogue is full of funny humor and outstanding and super funny jokes that cracked me up a lot and I so adore the performances of the casts overall in the film and the performances in this film is one of the most memorable performances I've seen in movie history I would say that this is the type of performance I've been looking for in a movie for a long time.

Director Martin Brest did a fantastic job with his directing on this movie. He and Eddie Murphy managed to make the movie funny thanks to not only Murphy's outstanding hilarious performance but also to Martin Brest's slick and stylish directing its too bad that most of his later on films were a bit down the hill after he made this movie oh well I guess this is his best movie so far.

Overall Beverly Hills Cop is a fun, hilarious and entertaining buddy cop comedy action film with a catchy and fun soundtrack and of course outstanding and hilarious performances from a magnificent casts.

This movie gets a 10/10 an outstanding and classic plus timeless masterpiece and the best 80's movie ever made.
