Review of Beverly Hills Cop (1984) by Russell Q — 21 Nov 2014
Beverly Hills Cop is an action-comedy masterpiece! Eddie Murphy delivers a huge hilarious performance as a cop. The story is about Axel Foley, a Detroit detective who's been sent on involuntary vacation because he refused to drop his intention on avenging his friend Mikey's death.
In Beverly Hills, he tries to find clues for his friends death and has to work with local cops played by Judge Reinhold and John Ashton in a wild action-packed comedy. If want to see funny parts like getting arrested for being thrown out of a window, putting a banana in the tailpipe of a car, and great theme called Axel F, performed by Harold Faltermeyer , then Beverly Hills Cop is the best movie of 1984.
Beverly Hills Cop is more entertaining than Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, way funnier than GhostBusters, and a great screenplay written by Daniel Petrie. If you are a huge Eddie Murphy fan, then go see this movie!
