For me this is Eddie Murphy's funniest movie. I can watch this movie over and over again and still laugh and be incredibly entertained. A freewheeling Detroit cop pursuing a murder investigation finds himself dealing with the very different culture of Beverly Hills.

It's a great idea for a comedy and it is almost all executed perfectly! Murphy puts on a very enthusiastic performance that's definitively 100 times more funny than 98% of his recent work. That other 2 percent being his very funny performances in Meet Dave and Tower Heist!
