This film has lip-synching musical numbers and sex scenes just like most other gay movies... The thing that separates Better Than Chocolate from all the other films in its' genre is the fact that it covers the elements of sorrow in the same immense way it covers the elements of joy.
It's a hard hitting film that emphasises the problems faced by gay people.
