This is one of my favorite 80's movies of all time--ripe with great quotes (Two dollars!) and characters. The story is pretty simple, boy loses girl, girl hooks up with cool kid, boy tries to kill himself several times and fails--lots of random shit happens--happy ending.
Okay I'm not doing it justice--just watch it. This movie beats Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles et al hands down! The soundtrack is also fantastic with three great tracks performed by E.G. Daily. Gee, I'm real sorry your mom blew up, Ricky.
