Honestly give this movie a chance and dont judge it by the title. Better off dead was hilarious with zany jokes and a great love story. While, pretty cookie cutter for the 80's highschool-set movies: jock bullies, dreams for a nice car, stuck up girlfriend, honestly good girlfriend that the main char doesn't realize... Great stuff :).
John Cusack does an excellent job, great acting! He really anchors the movie. Best line: "I want my 2 dollars!" - you'll know what I mean if you watch the movie ;).
