Excellent high school drama that was not at all what I was expecting. I thought this was going to be a "Menace II Society" with Asian Americans. While this wouldn't have been bad, it has been done a million times in Hong Kong.
Instead I got an extremely well-acting and well-written drama about a group of Asian high school students and how they deal with the pressures of high school, girls, substance abuse, and petty crime. This should go down as one of the better high school flicks of this generation that destroys any stereotypes you may have of the "token Asian" in American teen movies.
