Review of Best Worst Movie (2009) by Bradley H — 02 Jul 2012
This has to be one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. It has a lot of comedy but also is kind of sad and depressing in some points.
Best Worst Movie is a documentary that tells the story about the notoriously bad movie, Troll 2. But it just dosent talk about the film it also talks about the actors, the director, and the huge fan base this film has.
I am a fan of Troll 2. It is a very bad film but that is why it is so enjoyable. Its great to see almost all of the orignal cast and thier own stories with this film. What some of the actors are like now are very suprising and sometimes sad. The man who played the man who owned the general store in the town of Nilbog was in the movie because he had a day off from a mental hospital.
The director of Troll 2, Claudio Fragasso, does not consider the film bad at all, he thinks it is a very good film with a lot of messages in it. He dosent understand why people consider it a bad film. Also due to the language barrier of the cast and crew it was very hard to understand the crew, and Claudio would yell at the cast a lot to tell them what to do.
The main star of this film is George Hardy who played the father in Troll 2. He is just the nicest person I have ever seen in my whole life. When he see's how popular Troll 2 is he see's there is something to this, and decides to go to screenings of the film and chat with fans. But by the end he feels how most famous people would feel after doing the same line or watching the same movie they get tired of it.
Overall, Best Worst Movie is a very well-done documentary. A great film to watch right after watching Troll 2, it would make a great double feature.
