Review of Best of the Best (1989) by Anthony W — 15 Sep 2007
A group of karate experts all successfully gain a place in the US national karate team that is due to fight in a full-contact tournament in Korea three months hence. They try to overcome some of their own personal issues while trying to be on top form for the tournament.
One of the few films of its kind to show the side of the martial arts that get lost in the sensationalism of many others, this film has characters that you care about and some awesome fight scenes. Recommended.
