Review of Best in Show (2000) by Dylan N — 09 Aug 2008
A work or comic genius from a man who, like a bold, auspicious Magellan of cinematic comedy, pioneered the art form into new and uncharted waters. Often imitated but never duplicated, Christopher Guest is a master of his craft.
Many of the cast is the same as "Waiting For Guffman," and their scintillating comic chemistry and world-class improvisational skills create a dazzlingly hilarious range of characters, from the neurotic couple to the brilliant Fred Willard to the man who has an unfortunate habit of compulsive peanut naming.
A timeless gem of a comedy.
