When it comes to mockumentaries, Christopher Guest is pretty much the king of them all. Best in Show is, well, not unlike its predecessors. As a matter of fact, most of Guest's mockumentaries are pretty the same thing, with mostly the same actors every single time.

In this a bad thing? In this case no, because he delivers a very funny film in return no matter what, so you have to give him that. This time around, the plot revolves around a championship dog competition and the best dog wins "best in show.

" We follow several different sets of people as they compete for it. The film isn't stuffed with quite as many laughs as say Waiting for Guffman, but it still manages to get some laughs. All of the characters are great, especially the gay couple.

Even the psychotic trophy couple are funny at times. Altogether it's probably not the best Christopher Guest movie out there, it's definitely not the worst. And I always look forward to more of them.
