I really enjoyed this. At first I was a little thrown by the documentary interview setups interspersed throughout the narrative, but as the film went on and that aspect of the film became less and less, each time it happened was more welcome than the last.
I feel like this is really poorly written. Err... Yeah. Jack Black and Shirley MacLaine and Matthew McConaughey are wonderful in that order. But the townspeople-- they steal the show. They're the best.
I loved them. Check this one out. It's good. You really feel on Carthage's side. You'll know what I mean by the end of the film. [4/5 STARS] [112012].
