Review of Bernie (2012) by David H — 27 Jan 2013
Surprisingly good addition to Linklater's body of work. Quirky, interesting plot (based on a true story) with incredible true-to-life performances by Jack Black , Shirly McLain and the rest of an ensamble case.
A satifical yet endearing depiction of small-town life in America, Bernie also explores darker psychological themes of human nature that make the film a success on both comic and dramatic levels.
