Review of Bernie (2012) by Jared C — 17 May 2013
It wasn't until I watched up to the end that I thought, I missed something didn't i. Shot like a comedy and yet a true story, I only wonder if I should have watched over again. Thinking to myself this must be a fictional story, its not true.
Jack Black is fantastic as Bernie, he and Shirley MacLaine as the affluent and dictating old widow share good chemistry on screen. Matthew McConaughley I thought was equally as impressive as the main two characters.
Funny, odd and yet intriguing after a while, it is an unexpected piece of work not what you would guess from the beginning.
