Review of Bernie (2012) by Umy B — 21 May 2013

Loved it, really funny. Jack Black's best performance to date. In a lot of other films I hold it against them for not being able to figure out how to feel about a character's actions or the story but the reason I complain in those cases is because I feel it's either the filmmakers themselves can't told the story well enough or the plot is so convoluted that it renders it undeterminable, but this film is a good example of making you feel conflicted on purpose and questioning yourself about how you feel about the character's actions.

All the while having some wonderful dark comedy throughout.
