Review of Bernie (2011) by Vishal C — 18 Feb 2013
Bernie is one dark movie--and that's because of it's extremely light and comedic tone it gives to an otherwise brooding murder case. This is an interesting take on a crime story, with one of Jack Black's best performances, and excellent buildup, and overall style.
The director doesn't give you any laugh out loud moments, and uses this subtle humour to it's advantage. This movie deserves to be seen.
