Review of Beowulf & Grendel (2005) by Sarah D — 03 Feb 2008
It was uneven and slow in parts.but then again, it IS an epic poem which is always long and slow. Anyway, I loved Gerard Butler in 300 but he's not at his best in this. What I loved is the empathy for Grendel and the conflicting feelings shown in Beowulf.
I thought Butler did a great job of that. Normally I'd support a Canadian but Sarah Polley was disappointing I thought.
