Review of Beowulf (2007) by Clives. — 03 Dec 2007
I went into the film with some trepidation, and came away feeling that I just just watched something between Shrek and Austin Powers. Beowulf himself had the voice of Ray Winstone, but the look of Sean Bean.
Worst of all seemed to be the inconsistency of dialects; whoever heard of a cockney South African? The story was well told and some sequences were very well done, but not much good to say about a 2-hour film.
