Review of Beowulf (2007) by Raem. — 16 Nov 2007
3D animation can be criticized heavily; in my opinion, it was needed for this film. Whenever real live actors and computer animated monsters appear, the realism is destroyed. Since the whole film is computer animated, there is no distinction between real actors and monsters, keeping you glued to the film.
Great action, voice acting, and eye candy. It offers a violent, sexy attitude, keeping your interest as to what is going to happen next. This film would have been a perfect 10 if it kept everything that it had, but ADDED more to it with regards to the actual story of Beowulf.
I love what was done with the story, but if there was more cohesion to the original story on top of what was done to this film, I feel that the audience and reviewers would have been totally blown away.
