As far as the animation goes, the film's a vast improvement over Zemeckis' first mo-cap venture, "The Polar Express." However, the movie isn't the adventure that it promises to be.
It's awkwardly paced and sometimes flat-out boring. It makes you wonder, "Why not just make a good live-action movie rather than a mediocre animated one?".
