Review of Beowulf (2007) by Emmet K — 03 May 2011
I'm so torn about this movie... It's so spectacularly entertaining, so outlandish (even by the mythic standards it sets for itself), and so damn bloody that you can't help but enjoy the pure sadistic joy it brings.
But still, it's so sexed up, and it has a tendency to get lost in its own absurdity. So I'm really divided. I like it, but I can find so many reasons why I shouldn't.
