I am not here to debate the merits of performance capture, or whether it counts as animation. It's an interesting technique and works rather well in 3D. I saw this one at Imax, and that's the way I think it needs to be seen.
Eye candy all the way, but very good eye candy. Nothing wrong with some CGI Angelina Jolie. And who doesn't love dragons?
