Review of Beowulf (2007) by Chisomo P — 13 Jan 2013

Beowulf is an animated movie that leans alot on an already great mythic storyline. People with a taste for old, monster filled tales will enjoy this. Despite its foundation in folk lore the movie had a lot original strengths, playing off a well told story with flair afforded to us by modern technology.

This makes for imaginative cinematics , humanizing an epic story. The cons I can call on would be the heavy cliches saturating the story, but as it is based on an old epic cliches are part of the package, easily re-labeled as faithful story-telling.
