Review of Beowulf (2007) by Barry L — 27 Aug 2010
A great and tragic tale about courage and honor, among other things. Ray Winstone is perfect as Beowulf, and Crispin Glover nearly steals the show as Grendel. If you're the kind of person who needs Ratatouille-calibre animation to enjoy an animated movie, then you definitely will have problems with this one, but I just found myself captivated by the imagery.
Just an interestingly made movie, I don't think I've seen anything quite like it before.
