Hero movies are always good, even if a little predictable. Beowulf has a level I'd complexity and depth I didn't expect. Not nearly as heroic as 300, but still worth watching. The CGI took a bit to get used too (why would you computerize Angeline Jolie?) but it does make the non-human characters blend right in.
And as far as CGI goes, they did a great job.
