Review of Beowulf (1976) by Trent W — 12 Aug 2012
They made many unnecessary changes to the original epic poem, but to appease modern day audiences it succeeds. The only big difference that aggravates me is Beowulf getting wooed by Grendel's Mother in the movie.
In the poem she doesn't transform into a beautiful goddess and he kills her. Why couldn't they have kept that? I guess to show Angelina Jolie practically naked.
