Review of Beowulf (1976) by Shane D — 10 Sep 2013
At the time of its release, the animation here was considered something to marvel at. I suppose it will forever be the death of "lifelike animation" features for years to come, anything that presents as being the best we can do at recreating visually realistic animation will always inevitable look outdating and video-gamish within a very short time frame.
That being said, it is still very watchable and despite it being a tad clunky in patches, it carries enough momentum to keep interest levels up especially if you're a fan of Nordic/viking/dragon stories.
Of course, you might also enjoy the animated Jolie-boob thing as well. Whatever floats your boat.
