Why did he do it? IMO; he was bored. Or he just had the chance. Or both.
Anyway, for Benny, people are really not persons; there is no feeligs in Benny's world.
This film is not about morality and you really don't feel that good after it. Benny is not a nice kid, he's merely a machine.
