Review of Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970) by Android G — 29 Jan 2008
The Apes movies went in a direction I never saw coming, basically ending the story in the middle of the series, yet still finding a way to continue them without completely straining plausibility. The Charlton Heston look-alike is a pretty stupid concoction (as if every astronaut has to have a beard and a tan) but theres still a lot to like here.
