Review of Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970) by Adam B — 03 Jul 2008
Good fun, well made and a nice continuation of the brilliant original. The cast remain, and do well, and the new angle of the story provides fresh material rather than a simple continuation of ape v man.
However, the plot staggers ever more into the ridiculous as time goes on and dwells to much on messages and forgets the story. The end is messy and slightly bewildering. Although, this film is enjoyable, but equally forgetable.
