Review of Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970) by Rick B — 13 Aug 2011
A major step down from the original film, Beneath the Planet of the Apes is nonetheless entertaining, even shocking. James Franciscus does a great job, but I felt like the writers lazily wrote him in place of Charlton Heston without much thought.
The make-up effects are inconsistant, and there are other signs that this was made with much less money than the original. Still worth checking out if you are a fan.
