It's not the worst movie. Acting is just super cheesy. Not believable at all. The story saves the movie slightly, but still a cheesy/cliche story. I can hardly remember the original so can't compare, but I do remember the original being a good movie.
I wouldn't be surprised if this made the top 10 worst movies of 2016.
