Wow, brave film makers to produce this movie in an era of ultra-liberal Hollywood. The critics hate it, no surprise there:
White male hero, check.
Christian motif, check.
Forgiveness as a virtue (vs PC social justice warriorism), check!
So while the critics pummel the hell out of this movie (and Flixster conveniently hides the reviews), make it a point to see the film when you can. It is a great film, as the user reviews (and not the critic reviews) indicate.
