Review of Ben-Hur (1959) by Lasse C — 09 Mar 2010
Grand, glorious epic. Larger than life, storywise and acting wise. Even the bombastic score serve to amplify this effect. Charlton Heston delivers the performance of a lifetime. Although it is at times a little repetitive, the overall impression the movie leaves is a lasting one.
