If these sex scenes were filmed through "the female gaze", then it was the straight woman's gaze, whose only lesbian experience has watching 'lesbian' porn with her boyfriend. (Straight women in high heels with long acrylic nails going at it with strap-ons.).
The pornographic introduction was the first turn-off, and the so-cool (cigarette hanging from the lips, 'cuz ye know... that's soooo cool (BARF)), bed 'em an leave 'em lesbian who falls for (and turns) the straight girl is an eye-rolling cliche.
Why in the world so many lesbian movies are so bad I just don't get. But when the main characters are always the same FICTIONAL cardboard stereotype... newsflash straight people, REAL lesbians don't swagger up to women like they're the Fonz, and neither do we go to bars to "hook up" with a different woman every night or weekend or month!
The characters are so flat and cliched and unrealistic, and the plot is just an eye-roller all around. The porn injected into the movie wasn't "hot" either. Another newsflash for straights: porn isn't real. Like the rest of the movie, the sex scenes were as unrealistic as the characters and plot.
This movie should have been called "Below One Star" because that's the rating it deserves.
