Review of Below (2002) by Jason H — 21 Aug 2010
This movie reminded me of a terrible episode of The Twilight Zone, without any of the twists and turns that excite viewers. It's lacking in a good half-dozen ways and the cheap scares seem almost forced upon this movie.
I guess if you are on a sub, you HAVE to have scary things popping out of corridors or sudden images flashing up on the screen. It's about as mundane as you can get. The only saving grace is Bruce Greenwood's acting ability.
He really took the character to a level where it didn't need to be, but in making it his own, he imbued it with a certain level of respect.
