Review of Belly (1996) by Ifiok O — 02 Aug 2010
The cinematography for this movie lives up to same quality rap fans may be accustomed to seeing in their favorite music videos from director Hype Williams. And despite some pretty strong performances from rappers DMX and Nas, this movie's "style-over-substance" approach drags the story, which isn't really original, and keeps it from becoming a true classic.
