Review of Bellflower (2011) by Tierah H — 25 Feb 2012
For a first movie, this is amazing. I like the style and colours, it seemed dark and messy, which is just like the character's lives, especially by the end. I'm still not sure what happened in the end, but I just finished watching about 5 minutes ago.
The movie starts off sweet and charming, but as soon as the 'time jump' happens, it's very different and, for a moment, you know what's going to happen... but then you really don't.
Some movies seem empty without a greater story behind it, but this one seems to fit when you just take what you're given and leave it at that. The director/star did a great job in getting just the right emotions and performance from the unknown cast, and I think that makes it up for the slightly awkward dialogue that sometimes goes down.
